38th Annual Detroit Jazz Festival Labor Day Weekend. With the support of corporate sponsors, philanthropic organizations, individual donors and volunteers, the Detroit Jazz Festival is free to music fans looking to revel in the artistry and improvisation of jazz legends, rising stars, legacy and homecoming artists. Tall Ship Tour of the Detroit River. The Detroit History Club is honored to invite you to join us for a legendary evening on board the eighty five foot long tall ship, The Appledore IV. With a seventy six foot mast and over 3,500 square feet of sails, The Appledore IV has majestically sailed the Great Lakes for nearly twenty years. -Detroit, MI
