Our suggestions for something fun to do in October around Metro Detroit and Michigan!  Please verify all dates & times before attending.

 

October 3rd, 2017 (Tue)Public Planetarium Show at Wayne State University Planetarium.   Free, but reservation required.  -Detroit, MI

October 7th, 2017 (Sat)XICW Pro Wrestling returns to COBO! XICW brings wrestling back to Detroit after 35+ years. This all day event will include a fan fest, seminars, photo ops, autographs, a jam packed wrestling show and more.

October 6th-8th, 2017Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo, presented by DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan.  Live entertainment awaits your costume-clad little ones, including dazzling and daring acrobatics, magic acts, jugglers and extreme pumpkin carving demonstrations, as well as “altogether ooky” movies. Be sure to stop by the Haunted Reptile House and visit the ghosts and goblins that have made the Holden Reptile Conservation Center their home for the season. Make friends with other haunted creatures and enjoy the fabulous pumpkin displays along the “unlucky” 13-station trick-or-treat trail. Help a zoo scientist with research at the Spooky Science Laboratory tent or color your favorite Zoo animals on our 16-foot mural! -Royal Oak, MI

October 13th-15th, 2017:

  • Hallowe’en at Greenfield Village. Adventures unfold in Greenfield Village with magical encounters along a new path lit by 1,000 ornately carved jack-o’-lanterns until the final chapter culminates in a narrow escape from the bony grip of the Grim Reaper and the Headless Horseman.  -Dearborn, MI

October 14th, 2017 (Sat): Rosie World Record 2017.  Calling all Rosies! It’s time to roll up our sleeves and reclaim the Guinness World Record for Largest Gathering of Rosie the Riveters!  This event is FREE and comes with plenty of music, fun, prizes, programming, and activities for all. We’ll need over 2,500 to beat the current record, so start recruiting! ALL AGES WELCOME!  -Ypsilanti, MI

October 20th & 21st, 2017:

October 21st, 2017 (Sat)Trick or Treat & Movies in the Moonlight. Join us for a fun filled day in Downtown Rochester with Trick or Treat, a Costume Parade, Firehouse Fun and a Halloween edition of Movies in the Moonlight! Free admission. -Rochester, MI

October 27th, 2017 (Fri): Elektricity nightclub presents The Kreep Show.  Featuring Figure + Midnight Tyrannosaurus and Blvnt Force.  -Pontiac, MI

October 28th, 2017 (Sat): 

  • Creature Feature.  Halloween Costume Contest $500 1st place at the Works.  DJ lineup includes Blvnt Force, Megahurtz, Will K., Hypnotic, and more.   -Detroit, MI
  • Trick or Treasure 2017.   Kids in costume trick-or-treat at downtown Clawson businesses gathering treats. And they’re allergy friendly so it’s safe for all the little goblins and ghosts.  Enjoy stops along the walkway and get treats from Clawson Police and Fire Departments and many others.  Facebook Event. -Downtown Clawson, MI
  • Downtown Dearborn Trick-or-Treat. Downtown Dearborn, both East and West, will be treating kids to some spooktacular fun this year! Come on out for Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 28th from 2-4pm in the West Downtown and 4-6pm in the East Downtown.  -Downtown Dearborn, MI
  • Monster’s Ball Detroit 2017 at the Fillmore.  Metro Detroit’s best DJs, live performers and stage entertainers at this annual event brought to you by Live Nation Detroit, The Social Connection, Elive Entertainment and Tito’s Handmade Vodka!  -Detroit, MI
  • Bunnies & Ballers at Level Two Bar & Rooftop.  The Haunted Rooftop For Downtown Detroit’s Sexiest Halloween Event. In Honor of Hugh Hefner it’s the “Bunnies & Ballers”  -Detroit, MI

October 29th, 2017 (Sun): 

  • HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR!  Annual Trick-or-Treating, 50+ Downtown Businesses will be passing out candy.  -Downtown Royal Oak
  • The Trick or Treat Trail.  Clawson Parks & Recreation and Clawson Youth Assistance invite children in costume and accompanied by an adult to trick or treat on the wood chip trail in the park.  Trick or treat stations will be provided by local businesses and groups.  -Clawson, MI
  • Treats in the Streets at the Detroit Historical Museum. Children aged 12 and younger can trick or treat in the Streets of Old Detroit, enjoy free refreshments, and make a craft to take home. Free Admission.  -Detroit, MI

October 30th, 2017 (Mon):  The Berkley BooFest.  The Berkley Junior Women’s Club and Berkley Parks and Recreation Department are pleased to present this family friends event sponsored by Berkley Days and Berkley Huntington Woods Youth Assistance.  Slime Bar – Rock Painting – Candy Bar – Games – Photo Ops – Prizes & More.   -Berkley, MI

October 31st, 2017 (Tue):   Study Lounge’s 2017 Halloween Bash. Costume contest which is the best in Ann Arbor, where up to 20 people will be walking away with some awesome prizes from a 8 Night Cancún stay for 2, Cash, Gift Cards, Study Bowls, VIP booth certificates.   -Ann Arbor, MI
