Fishing Derby.  The Heritage Park ponds will once again be stocked with rainbow trout and hybrid blue gill for this great annual event. No fishing license is required. Make sure to bring your own fishing pole!   $6R/$8NR -Canton, MI

Mother’s Day Brunch at the Joyful Jungle Christian Learning Center.  -Madison Heights, MI

May 7th, 2017 (Sun):  Cinco De Mayo Parade!  Southwest Detroit knows how to celebrate.  -Detroit, MI.

May 12th, 2017 (Fri): 

The Cocktail Confidential. Cocktail Detroit combines everyone’s favorite spirits – and some you may not even know (yet) – served in a fun and delicious manner! Come mingle, enjoy live entertainment from Weekend ComeBack and partake in some creative beverages at the Royal Oak Farmers Market!  -Royal Oak , MI

May 19th-20th, 2017:  The Motor City Comic Con.  Come enjoy the Cosplay, comic book creators, artists and media guests like Anthony Michael Hall, Jason David Frank, Rob Schneider, Shannon Elizabeth, WWE’s Sting and many faces from the Walking Dead.  -Novi, MI

May 19th-20th, 2017: BBQ ThrowDown formally known as “Pork in the Park” hosted by Wyandotte Business Association. A Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned event..   -Wyandotte, MI

 May 20th, 2017 (Sat):

Wine Stroll. Sample featured wines and signature hors d’oeuvres from over 20 of downtown Royal Oak’s top restaurants and venues.  A portion of the proceeds benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland & Macomb Counties.  -Royal Oak, MI

Tequila Mundo!  Attendees of Tequila Mundo will be treated to samplings of the finest brands and varieties of premium and ultra-premium tequilas, as well as tequila liqueurs, crèmes, infusions and flavored tequilas.  -Royal Oak, MI

May 20th-21st, 2017:  30th Annual Vintage Volkswagen Festival.  Fun for car enthusiasts.  -Ypsilanti, MI
