Celebrity Autism Gala

Saturday, April 28th, 2012 was a night of hope and fun at the historical mansion of Dr. William Demray in Northville.  The Celebrities Against Autism gala included a VIP cocktail reception, silent and live auction, strolling appetizers, and awards. Proceeds from the gala were donated to the non-profit, Celebrities Against Autism.

Gary Cole, of Office Space, Talladega Nights, and Desperate Housewives fame was there to raise money and spread awareness.  He was charming and stood for hours taking pictures with guests.  Autism is a cause close to Cole’s heart as his daughter, Mary, was diagnosed with autism at age 28 months.

Also on hand were the beautiful Erin Nicole, and the handsome Patrick Eaves from the Detroit, Red Wings.

One of the many Autism hero’s honored on Saturday was Roger McPheeters.  Roger has a daughter with Autism, Hailey.  He has tirelessly raised funds with his brotherhood the Motor City Mad Men, for their group Hailey’s Hero’s.

There was amazing food provided by Uptown Grille, Rocky’s of Northville, MI, Online Café Bar and Grill, and many more.  Rocky’s truffle and lobster macaroni and cheese was the best thing on earth, and Uptown Grilles pork sliders were out of this world.

There were auction items provided by Brickside Landscaping, WXC, Marvaso’s,

Over 500 people attended the event with beautiful decorations by Events to Remember.  The hard work of many people, including Melissa Hunt-Sampey, who worked tirelessly for the party, made this a huge success.

Photos of the night can be found on here on our photography site and some can be found on facebook as well.
