April 4th, 2014 (Fri):  Courtesy of the MASCO Corporation Foundation, admission to the Cranrook Institute of Science is free after 5pm on this day.

April 5th, 2014 (Sat):   Tinker. Hack. Invent. at the Henry Ford Museum. April’s theme is Reinvent Detroit Cityscape.

April 6th, 2014 (Sun): The 13th Annual Detroit Greek Independence Day Parade.  3pm. Monroe Street in Greektown.  -Detroit, MI.

April 6th, 2014 (Sun): FestiFools, the street party you know and love.

April 6th, 2014 (Sun)Show Out.  The LGBT night at Hustler Club.  Drag Shows, Entertainers and more! 9pm -Lincoln Park, MI

April 7th, 2014 (Mon):  A Make Way for Spring program.  Children and their parents invited to grab an activity backpack and go on a self-guided hunt for signs of spring. Scavenger hunt sheets, magnifying lenses,and twig and bud detective guides will help children investigate signs of spring.  Free; self-guided.

April 11th, 2014 (Fri):  Kids Night Out at the Canton Summit.  Monthly, kids ages 5 to 12 are welcome to a supervised evening of swimming, games, pizza and beverages, and a movie.  6pm-10pm -Canton

April 12th-20th, 2014:  Detroit Restaurant Week.

April 12th, 2014 (Sat):  Princesses and Pirates Event and Fundraiser for Explorers.  -Ann Arbor, MIDetroit Music Awards

April 18th & 19th (Fri-Sat): Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo.  Treats, games, crafts, live entertainment, animal enrichment activities, zookeeper talks and much more!

April 25th, 2014 (Fri): Detroit Music Awards.  The DMA’s at the Fillmore.  -Detroit, MI  TBOD

April 26th, 2014 (Sat):  Spring Star Party.  Stars, telescope, space toy an snacks. 8pm.  -Clarkston, MI

April 26th & 27th, 2014 (Sat & Sun):  Day Out with Thomas.  Thomas the Tank Engine visits Greenfield Village.  Ride Thomas and meet meet Sir Topham Hatt.

April 27th, 2014 (Sun): Earth Day Festival.   This free, family-friendly event features displays from 40 local environmental, non-profit, and governmental organizations; live animal demonstrations; hands-on activities; product & toy testing; live entertainment; green building & commuting technologies; energy topics; water awareness; sustainable agriculture; and more. In the true spirit of Earth Day, this year’s festival will again be a Zero Waste event, with help from Recycle Ann Arbor and their grant from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation.   -Ann Arbor, MI

April 30th, 2014 (Wed):  Wednesday Story Hour with Miss Mary Jane at Barnes & Nobles.  -Shelby Township, MI
